Blueberry Pie Smoothie

The addition of the quinoa powder gives a kick of protein which keeps the hunger pangs at bay and its malty flavour puts me in mind of a buttery, crumbly pastry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup frozen blueberries
  • ¼ cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 cups milk (dairy, soy, almond - you choose)
  • 2 tablespoons quinoa powder
  • drizzle of maple syrup
  • a few extra blueberries to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Tip everything into a blender and blitz until smooth.

Notes

I have used quinoa powder here for a hit of protein and a buttery, malty flavour but feel free to substitute for your favourite alternative.
