- Allow 1-2 potatoes per person (depending on size and appetite)
- Olive oil for drizzling
- seasoning of your choice - paprika, chilli powder, chopped thyme, salt & pepper ...
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/400°F (gas mark 6).
- For chunky chips - no need to line the tray unless avoiding washing up is important to you! Cut each potato in half, along the length, and cut each half into 4 chunky chips, then the chips will stand nicely on their own bit of skin and won't stick to the baking tray. Arrange the chips on a heavy baking tray, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with your seasoning of choice.
- For thin chips - use bigger potatoes and cut chips as if you were going to deep fry them. Line a heavy baking tray with non-stick parchment and arrange your chips on it. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with your seasoning of choice.
- Roast in the oven for 20-35 mins or until golden and cooked through. The thin chips will cook a little faster than the chunky ones.
