Bircher Muesli

This quantity makes 2 man-sized portions or 3 smaller portions for those of us without hollow legs!


  • 150g (5oz) Everyday Healthy Cereal or your favourite unsweetened muesli - choose one containing plenty of nuts and fruits
  • the juice of 3 medium oranges
  • 1 apple, grated (leave the skin on)
  • 150-200g (3-4oz) Greek yoghurt
  • a drizzle of maple syrup (optional)


  1. Place the Everyday Healthy Cereal (or your favourite muesli) into a large bowl and add the juice of the oranges and the grated apple. Combine well.
  2. Divide the mixture between 2 or 3 glasses or jars and put a generous dollop of Greek yoghurt on the top of each.
  3. Cover - either with cling film or a lid - and store in the fridge overnight.
  4. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup, if you have a sweeter tooth, or as it is.
  5. The Bircher muesli will keep happily in the fridge for 2 or 3 days.
