Summer Strawberry Smoothie

Like a really sensational, healthy strawberry ice cream. In a glass. With a straw.


  • 1 frozen banana
  • 150-200g (5-7oz) strawberries (depending how flavoursome they are)
  • 2 tablespoons quinoa powder
  • 300-400ml (10-13 floz)quinoa milk
  • a drizzle of maple syrup (optional)


  1. Put the frozen banana, frozen strawberries, quinoa powder and 300ml of quinoa milk into a high speed blender and blitz until smooth.
  2. Depending on the size of the banana (and your preferred smoothie consistency), you may need to add extra milk.
  3. Taste to check the sweetness and add a drizzle of maple syrup if required. Blitz again after adding the maple syrup.


Try swapping the quinoa milk for your milk of choice and play around with adding your favourite protein powders. Make it your own.
