Spicy Sausages with Beans

Not a new dish, but adding harissa and mustard is an easy way to pimp up an everyday dish into something a bit spicy and a lot special.


  • 1 x 400g (14oz) tin baked beans in tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon harissa
  • 1 teaspoon wholegrain mustard
  • 1 pack of sausages (about 450g (1lb)) - cooked
  • 450g (1lb) small, waxy potatoes - cooked


  1. Tip the tin of beans into a large microwaveable bowl and mix in the harissa and the mustard.
  2. Now slice up the sausages and the potatoes and gently stir these into the spicy beans until everything is well combined.
  3. Heat gently in the microwave until piping hot.


You'll need to have the sausages and the potatoes already cooked to make this super speedy.
